WABI SABI HAUS was born from a love of interior decorations and a fascination with the beauty found in the imperfect. Cushions are deeply personal, and can completely transform your home to tell your story.

All our cushions are handmade in South Africa. We work in small batches, allowing each collection the time and attention it deserves. It’s a slower, more thoughtful way of creating, one that values people over production and quality over quantity. Every piece is a little different, and that’s precisely the point. They soften spaces, spark conversation, and carry a warmth that only comes from something made by real hands.

We take our name from the Japanese philosophy that celebrates simplicity, authenticity, and the marks of time. It’s a reminder that beauty isn’t found in flawlessness, but in the honest details - the texture of natural linen, the subtle variation in dye, the stitch that isn’t quite straight but all the more human for it.

We design slowly, deliberately, and with respect for the process. Because in a world that worships the new, we find comfort in the enduring.

And no… you can never have enough cushions, despite what one would think. As we say in our family,“I need them”, which, of course, justifies every purchase we make (girl math!).
